My theory on those is that they happen the day after his monthly meds either for internal parasites or the flea/tick chew. If your dog’s urine is killing the grass it’s usually too alkaline. Give doggy 500 mg a day of Vitamin C to acidify. It’s because of the nitrogen. If you water the grass where he pees, or it rains a lot, this happens, if it’s dry and doesn’t get watered it turns brown. See how the grass is pale and yellowing? That’s a lack of nitrogen which urine has plenty of. Too much and it will kill The grass, but right now it is lacking.
